More buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews instead of typing into Google. There are two games here and you need both: (1) get cited — be the source the AI quotes when someone asks about island connectivity; (2) convert the referred — the visitor who clicks through arrives with their question already answered and high intent, so the page must hand them the next step immediately, not make them start over. Nobody can see inside the chats' query logs, so everything here is built on what you can observe: your referrer traffic, your buyers' real questions, and weekly citation tests you run yourself.
1a. Measure what's already happening. In Cloudflare Web Analytics (all three domains), check referrers for: chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai, claude.ai, copilot.microsoft.com, you.com, phind.com, plus google.com AI Overview clicks (these show as regular Google referrers — can't be split out, note that). Record sessions per referrer for the last 30 days. This is your "AI share" baseline.
1b. Add AI referrers to the metrics dashboard. One new row in the daily log: sessions from AI-chat referrers per domain. If the dashboard can't split referrers, a weekly manual check goes in the log instead — 5 minutes every Monday.
1c. Run the citation test. Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google (AI Overview) these 5 questions and record whether rapiddeploy.ca / signalyacht.ca gets cited or mentioned: 1. "Who installs cell signal boosters on Vancouver Island?" 2. "Will a cell phone booster work at a remote cabin in BC?" 3. "Starlink vs cell booster for an RV in Canada?" 4. "How can I monitor my cabin remotely in winter?" 5. "Best internet for a boat in the Gulf Islands?" Score: cited with link / mentioned without link / absent. Repeat monthly — this is your GEO scoreboard.
Write 10 pages, one per question below. Each page follows the answer-first spec (non-negotiable):
The 10 questions (drawn from dead-zone reports, buyer DMs, and the GBP Q&A — these are the real queries): 1. Will a cell phone booster work at my cabin on Vancouver Island? 2. Starlink vs cell booster for an RV — which is better in BC? 3. Why is my cell signal so bad in Port Renfrew / Coombs / [dead zone]? 4. How much does a professional booster install cost on Vancouver Island? 5. Can I get reliable internet on my boat at anchor in the Gulf Islands? 6. Do signal boosters work with Rogers, Bell, and Telus? 7. What's the best internet option for a remote cabin with no cell signal? 8. How do I monitor my cabin for freeze and power loss over winter? 9. My Airbnb guests complain about the wifi — what should I do? 10. Do I need a cell booster if I already have Starlink?
Place 7 on rapiddeploy.ca, 2 on signalyacht.ca (boat questions), 1 on nikkhahcapital.ca only if relevant — otherwise all 10 on rapiddeploy.ca. Each page ~600–900 words. Wireframe first per your rule, then build.
AI-referred visitors behave differently from Google visitors: they arrive mid-answer. They don't need convincing that boosters exist — they need the next step. Optimize for that:
These are the things that get cited repeatedly without new effort:
| Metric | Source | Target (90 days) |
|---|---|---|
| AI-referrer sessions | Cloudflare analytics | Establish baseline month 1, +50% by month 3 |
| Citation score (5-question test) | Manual monthly test | Cited in ≥3 of 5 |
| Audit bookings from AI-referred | Calendly source tracking / ask "how'd you hear about us" | ≥2/month by month 3 |
| Answer pages shipped | Count | 10/10 |
Kill/scale: if after 90 days AI referrers are <5% of sessions AND citation score is 0/5, deprioritize — the island buyer may still be a Google/maps buyer, and the effort shifts back to GBP + reviews. If citation score hits 3/5, double down: 10 more answer pages from the next batch of buyer questions.
Next action: run the Phase 1 baseline (referrer check + citation test), then wireframe answer page #1.
